After over a decade immersed in high-end residential design, Ben Chandler founded Chandler Design Studio in 2025, shaped by years of collaboration with Nashville’s vibrant design and building community. The studio was born from a simple but powerful idea: that enduring architecture begins with listening—to the land, to the client, and to the subtle character of place.
As a sister company to an established multidisciplinary design firm, Chandler Design Studio pairs the intimacy of a boutique practice with the depth of experience and collaboration found in a larger creative collective. This unique structure allows Ben to bring a high level of design thinking, technical precision, and craftsmanship to every home the studio creates.

Ben Chandler, AIA
Principal
Ben is a licensed architect and proud alumni of the University of Tennessee, College of Architecture and Design. Ben has gained over a decade of experience working in diverse market sectors across Nashville, Memphis, and Asheville, with his passion being in high end residential design. This passion ultimately led to the formation of Chandler Design Studio.
Outside of work, Ben enjoys exploring Nashville and its surrounding areas with his wife, Halie, their son, Charlie, and their dog, Hugo. He is also an active volunteer with AIA Middle Tennessee and the Phoenix Club of Nashville.
Shelby Parsons
Designer
Shelby holds a Bachelor of Science in Interior Architecture from the University of Tennessee. As a military child, she grew up across the United States, which sparked her love for travel and experiencing new places. Shelby is passionate about design for its unique ability to bring people and communities together through creativity and innovation.
In her free time, Shelby enjoys hiking, discovering new coffee shops, and spending time with friends. She’s always open to recommendations—especially for great trails and local brews!
Katherine Daniels
Administrator
Katherine is a graduate of Mississippi State University earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. She spent 15 years in banking with a primary focus in real estate. Prior to joining Chandler Design Studio, she was a Vice President at a Nashville area Bank where she focused on construction lending.
Outside of work, Katherine enjoys traveling with her husband, Blake, reading, and trying the latest Nashville restaurants. Katherine also enjoys a variety of philanthropic work as a member of the Junior League of Nashville and a past board member of The Sexual Assault Center and End Slavery Tennessee.
